What are my top five film scores?

What are my top five film scores?

1. Interstellar - Cornfield Chase. Written by Hans Zimmer.
The reason I love this piece is because it starts incredibly simple, but is still beautiful. The haunting tune at the beginning sets the mood for the whole movie! The simple yet seductive tune suddenly morphs into something complicated. The effects joining with the sequence make this section so amazing. This piece of music is Zimmer at his best.

  2. Inception - Time. Written by Hans Zimmer.
This piece is fantastic, mixing electric guitar with orchestra, and having a brilliant melody. The orchestra really gives a nice touch. this theme will get stuck in your head and it is incredibly moving. This is a brilliant score from a brilliant film.

3.
Interstellar - S.T.A.Y Written by Hans Zimmer.

This piece brings back the incredible tune at the beginning of choice 1. It is played on the organ, which makes it sound religious in a way, which links to sacrifice, a theme in the film.

4. Harry Potter - Hedwig's theme. Written by John Williams.
This score is famous throughout the world, and it is hard to think of Harry Potter without this score. The classic tune and the magical feel all add to this incredibly well-known tune.

5. Inception - Mind Heist
This score is amazing. It starts the film and completely puts you in the mood for the rest. The loud horn noises are excellent. Before this score, I was drinking water. While listening to this score, I'm drinking water awesomely.

I hope you enjoyed this list.

Hans Zimmer is going to do a masterclass soon and it is expensive, however to check it out, go to https://www.masterclass.com/classes/hans-zimmer-teaches-film-scoring

For your own music notation if you feel inspired by the pieces in this list, I'd recommend musescore and noteflight, however I prefer flat.io.
